Oak Ridge Playhouse to receive historical marker

You are invited! Please plan to attend the official unveiling of the historical marker for the Playhouse. In cooperation with several groups, including Explore Oak Ridge, the ORHPA, and Senator Ken Yager’s office we now have a roadside marker to show our pride in the Oak Ridge Playhouse. Special thanks go to Rachel Offutt, executive secretary of Sen. Yager for her efforts in making the marker, and to Katy Jett of Explore Oak Ridge for securing funding. Lt. Gov. Randy McNally is expected to attend and say a few words, as well as David Bradshaw representing the Playhouse.

The unveiling will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 7. We will meet at the marker, located in Jackson Square along Broadway Ave, come to the sidewalk near Dean’s. Please be thoughtful of others and practice recommended measures to protect against the spread of the coronavirus, including social distancing.
